Choosing a good affiliate program is an important step to start your affiliate business especially if you’re a newbie. Choosing a wrong program will ruin your business. Many of my students ask me “how to generate traffic and sales for my website?” When I see their niche it’s always about “money making”. Oh gosh that’s the mustavoid niche for newbie.
Find affiliate programs that are free to join. There are hundreds of choices so don’t waste your money to join a paid affiliate program. Select an affiliate program that suited with your payment time. Different affiliate program have different schedule to pay commission checks.
Another thing to analyze is hit per sale ratio. Hit per sale ratio is the average number of hits takes to generate a sale. Find an affiliate program that has a high traffic ratio. Most newbie failed because they promote a product that has low sales from affiliate statistics.
Find out how long your affiliate cookie remains in the system. Make sure the program can track you as the person who refers those people. Search for a program that has a longer period of time. Most visitors don’t buy the product at the first time.
Some affiliate programs also pay for impression and hits. This could be a benefit if the programs have low sales. Some of the programs also pay commissions for 2 tier. That means you will get commission for each sales from your affiliates you refer. So you will get double commissions.
Lastly the most important thing that cannot be missed is how much the commission paid. You can find affiliate programs that give commissions up to 75 in clickbank. Don’t waste your time to promote a program that only give you commissions lower than 50.
Make sure you analyze the product before start to make a website and promoting it. These are only a few aspects that you need to analyze first.
