When I started my company over five years ago I set a goal of providing more than just great design. I added search engine optimization to my web design strategies and then added hosting and domain name management. But the very best thing Ive been able to add is education.
And so class is in session! Ive had dozens of clients ask me what RSS and RSS Feeds are and what they are used for.
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. Its a programming software solution to 
easilu encapsulate information from a website such as new content and present it in its simplest form; allowing browsers and feed readers to display that data to customers feed aggregators and software. Heres the geekspeak version: A standardized XML* file format allows the information to be published once and viewed by many different programs
For example you can look at my RSS Feed HERE. If you are using newer browsers Im a 
fan of FireFox youll have a bookmark location for all your RSS Feeds. Just click subscribe and choose Sage or Yahoo or Google. Everytime you login youll see all the latest news and information from my site. Subscribe to all the feeds from your favorits sites! Then youll only have to go to the sites if theres new stuff you want to read!
Basically RSS Feeds allow you to see all the latest information from your favorite sites so you dont have to spend all that time going to each one. Its a great timesaving tool.
Using RSS Feeds on your site is a great way to market your business too. RSS feeds allow your customers to easily connect to your content especially if your content is frequently refreshed. We can also program your feeds to display only a summary or even the whole page of web content. Even better we can include advertising links in your feeds.
